Remember when I posted about Coachella & seeing Mumford & Sons? Yeah well that sold out in a millisecond. You know how I am obsessed with M&S & planned on going to their Santa Barbara show instead? Sold out in a millisecond. Remember when Railroad revival announced their tour with M&S & I went to buy pre-sale tickets? Sold out in a millisecond. You know how I woke up 30 minutes before GA tickets went on sale to be ready with my credit card & waited in a virtual waiting room for half an hour while simultaneously checking the RR facebook only to see comments saying "Sold out" etc etc.? Well...that was this morning & Austin sold out in a millisecond :( ...GOOD THING I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA! OFFICIALLY GOT MY TICKETS FOR SAN PEDRO!!! Feel free to congratulate me :D Now I just need an awesome new outfit & the tallest shoes to see over everyone.

So the best part about living in LA & having talented friends is being part of their creations! My dear friend (Spike Leah) directed her first music video today & I got to spend the day with great people in a whimsical fantasy land enjoying tea & pastries in funky-cool wardrobe and getting crazy on camera! I Can't wait to get my hands on some of the professional photos to share and see the finished product so stay tuned for that :)

Beer Bar

So my sources tell me this is the spot for beer & wine. It's in Silverlake so if anything, we can pretend we're cool & dress hip. There are a number of antlers on the walls so I'm sold, I'll get the gang together and let you know how it goes. There's the silver lining..pun intended. 

Shareen Vintage

Get your best shades on, grab a gal pal & head downtown to Shareen's Vintage. You wont waste any time finding the new location since it's conveniently located just across the way of the old. With the enormous archival selections, strategically placed fur coats and sequined frocks you'll be ready to jump into scavenger mode and jump out of your clothes --literally. I could only snap a few pics inside the place because the lack of fitting rooms makes for bare boob central. All in all, the girls were great, Shareen is a doll and they make sure you feel like every experience is a personal one. 

The Warehouse

Last month Justin Warwick, owner of Sunset Boulevard's former Warwick vintage, opened the street's new hot spot - The Warehouse. Located in Echo Park just off of Marion, you'd have to be a square to not consider stopping in for a browse. A little birdie told me the place even offers DIY classes for the crafting hobbyist & apparently have a massive vintage collection skinned of the all too often tacky, moth-eaten, polyester. Look, LA is beautiful, vintage is mysteriously wonderful & it's the perfect adventure for your favorite group of scavengers. Oh, did I mention they tailor? Yup, I think a new vintage prince has been born.

The Sneak

Get yourself to The Sneak Sundays in Westwood for music that will get you to catwalk on the dance floor, (or maybe it was the deliciously strong $5 martinis) and all around good people. Plus, who doesn't love twinkled lighting with sharply elegant & whimsical decor? Thats right, do it. 

Toe Key Yo

I cannot express how much I love hitting Downtown LA for food, fun and dissolving my funds. Twas a chilly & drizzly Sunday afternoon as we headed to Little Tokyo for a steaming bowl of soup at our usual spot, Mr Ramen. 

Now once one is fattened up and happy, who wants to be fascinated by miniature replicas, Sanrio EVERYTHING and a slew of five and ten stores? ME! ME! 

To be honest, I despise Hello Kitty, but I know many of you are fans so voila! Also, I felt so Holly Golightly in a five & ten with silly masks. Unfortunately there was no 'Fred Darling' but fortunately I did not proceed to steal that mask.

All in all, the best part of adventures in LT is the fact that there are ALWAYS great little finds (LOVE MY DREAMCATCHER!), awesome prices, and the sweetest people...not to mention sweet treats :)
